Review: Considering the fact that most of the mythological lore shows Wendigos as vile,flesh-eating monsters the author did a good job of putting her own spin on the myth. This novella was short but still had a wonderful story packed in it. I loved the fact that the author didn't change anything about the flesh eating nature of the Wendiga nor did she romanticize it.

Though Evangeline hated herself for her needs it was good to see a strong and helpful woman at the same time who wasn't consumed by self loathing like other heroines in paranormal novels. The descriptions in the book are abundant and created vivid pictures. The lore surrounding the Wendiga and the matriarchal society that they had was ingenious.Luke was also a wonderful character. And do I need to mention the fact that he was absolutely hot?

The action and hunting scenes were well paced.Though the attraction between the two characters was sizzling it was still hard to believe the fast pace of their relationship, even if we remember the fact that Evangeline was mostly isolated throughout her life.I would love to see more of where the story goes and Luke's homeclan.
Anyone who is tired of the usual vampires, werewolves, etc in the PNR genre and is looking for a short but well written story should definitely give this a try.
