What a cute and refreshing read!Though it has the premise of the typical big city girl meets small town guy, I believe the author has executed the story wonderfully!

In this book we have Avery who aims become a well known journalist.Though she works at a small company now, she knows that if she does well on this assignment given to her it'll do wonders for her career.All she has to do is go out into the woods and nature for a flyfishing trip, with some old, reclusive guide.Turns out he isn't old or bad-looking either.

Sullivan Reed has had enough of drama in his life.An ex-wife who annoys and takes advantage of him at every turn is enough to make one seek the solace of the woods.He is happy with his fly rod,the nature and his loyal canine companion.And now there is a reporter whom he has to babysit and handle with care.But then he meets her and realises that she is quite different from what she expected.

Though a little strained in the beginning, their relationship progresses into friendly zone and then they strike up a mutually beneficial agreement..Avery will pretend to be Sullivan's girlfriend to ward off his neighbor, while he plays the role of the fly fishing guide and will help her out with the article.

Sully is attracted to Avery and its been a long tie since someone has interested him long enough for him to be willing to give them a chance.But should he take the chance with someone so different from him who will return to the city as soon as her assignment is done?

This book had the perfect mix of romance, humor and steam.The first chapter itself was so funny where we see Avery and Sully meet each other for the first time.

"Little? He didn't seem so little when he was slithering down my chest, she shrieked, her breath coming out in hard gasps. I'd like to see how you'd react if you had a snake in your pants."

The book just got better from there.Avery was a city girl, but still willing to learn and spend the time in the wild.She doesn't give up when things get tough.Sully was a swoonworthy hero who is hot and sweet.Though the couple had their own sets of flaws and misunderstandings pulling them apart I couldn't help but root for them!

Considering that this was my first book of Jennie Marts', I'll be reading Romancing The Ranger now since I loved this one!Guys, do check this one out as its an amazing, light,funny and romantic read!

Sullivan Reed is a combination of Hugh Jackman and Kit Harington (Jon Snow from Game of Thrones)—black hair, dark beard, broody, a mountain man with a killer smile and a soft spot for his dog. I can’t wait for you to meet him! He just might be your next bearded book boyfriend! 

HOOKED ON LOVE is the second book in the Cotton Creek Romance series, and it’s a romantic comedy about a fish-out-of-water city girl and a broody bearded fishermen who just might find what they need in each other.
