Polly Doyle hates her job, her life, and being stuck in her home town. Being a twenty-something, newly single, phone-sex operator isn’t exactly where she saw herself on career day. When Polly lands a spot on the popular TV show, The Bake Off, she vows to win. Baking is her passion and her ticket out of Cavern's Bend. There’s just one, very big man-shaped problem. It’s couples year. Polly doesn’t want a man, but for the first time in her life, she needs one. Faking it for a living comes naturally to Polly. Faking The Bake Off, should be a piece of cake. If only her fake boyfriend wasn’t so edible, so hot, and so damn infuriating!
Keane Marshall loves his job, his life, and moving back to his home town is the icing on the cake. Being a twenty-something, newly single chef of the hottest restaurant in Cavern’s Bend, is exactly where he wants to be. Until he gets roped into a competition with a woman he hoped he’d never see again. Polly Doyle was the first girl he ever wanted. The first girl he fell in love with. And the girl who sucker punched him into 6th grade infamy. Faking The Bake Off should be a piece of cake. If only his fake girlfriend wasn’t so sinfully spicy, so teeth tingling sweet, and so damn infuriating!
A spoonful of sugar, and a whole lot of spice.

Review
This was a light read that was hilarious as hell, sweeter than cupcakes and with an added dash of spice!
I was dying to get my hands on this book as soon as I read the blurb! The cover was just an added incentive(I'm a coverwhore, sue me :P)
And I am glad I did! This book had me laughing from the first page itself!LOL!
Polly works as a phone sex operator temporarily to make ends meet. She had dreams of making it big in Hollywood, but all she ended up doing were waitressing jobs. Now that she is back in her hometown and has discovered her passion for baking, she is trying to figure a way out.Within the first few chapters she loses her phone sex operator gig(good riddance).
But she also manages to win a spot in Bake Off, a popular TV show! She is super happy, but the bummer is that it's couples' year. She has just broken up with her boyfriend Eugene(whom she caught cheating on her when she had gone to his house intending to break up with him).
In a twist of events she goes out with Anna (the girl who was with Eugene), and Anna volunteers her brother Keane for the role of fake boyfriend in order to participate in the show.
And her brother is Keane Marshall- Polly's childhood friend and crush who left town without a goodbye!
Keane is back in Cavern's Bend and is trying to open up a new restaurant. He still remembers Polly and when he gets a chance to rekindle their relationship, he jumps up at the opportunity!
As they spend days and steamy nights together, the fake relationship gets realer.Too bad Keane has issues and doesn't want something permanent. Will they win the Bake Off?Or will they end up with broken hearts and broken dreams?
I loved the steam, comedy and romance in this novel!Though it was a little bit over the top and unbelievable at times, I'm willing to along with it for the sake of enjoyment and since its a comedy.
Keane was annoying and frustrating at many points!I wanted to whack him at times, but I forgive him!
Polly was just perfect!Sassy, feisty, intelligent and sexy!Gotta love a girl who can handle herself and others in situations. She was also sweet when she was vulnerable and wore her heart on a sleeve.I loved the relationships between the family members of the characters and the friends too!
The chemistry between Keane and Polly was sooo good!!
I would recommend this book to you if you're looking for a super-light,hilarious rom-com!You'll definitely enjoy it! :D
