SYNOPSIS:

She doesn't date players...
Sophie loves her life: she's travelled the world and lived by her own rules. But when she finds out about her grandfather's heart attack, she drops everything and boards a plane to Ireland. Two weeks, that's the plan. Until one look at her childhood nemesis has her rethinking everything. She's sworn off athletes, but she might just give him a try...
He's the biggest player of all.
Sex and rugby. Those were the only two things Declan cared about, right up until his first love waltzed back into his life. Even as he slept his way through Dublin, he never stopped thinking about her. Never stopped wondering if she thought about him, too. So even though he's never gone after a woman the way he chases down opponents on the field, this time, he won't let her get away.
On the field, he's invincible, but she just might break him.

REVIEW

Rugby star meets Travel writer whom he bullied in childhood!
What a cute and compelling romance!
In the prologue we meet young Sophie, who has come to Ireland to live with her grandparents. She is hoping o make new friends especially with the cute boy(Declan)she just saw.Except he insults her in front of the whole class! It all goes downhill from there with Declan bullying her at every turn and Sophie giving it back to him. After sometime she goes back to the US with her mom and is happy to do so.

Now, many years have passed and she has come back to help out in her grandparents' pub as her grandfather had a heartattack.Declan and Sophie meet each other at the airport and sparks fly from the very first meeting!Declan is highly attracted to this grown up, confident and intelligent woman. But how does he make her understand that his childhood behavior was a self-defense mechanism as he ha actually like her! Will she trust him and let him in?

Sophie forgives Declan early on itself, but she doesn't give in and go into a relationship with him immediately.Declan is quite the womanizer and is used to woman falling all over him. But, he is looking for something different. Will it be Sophie?
I loved how they took it slow and Sophie made him work for it.The chemistry between them was splendid!
Sophie's grandparents were really great additions and gave emotional support to story and brought in humor. One can understand why Sophie finds it difficult to trust as her childhood wasn't easy. Her mom was quite irritating!
It was beautiful to read Declan and Sophie's journey from the beginning to their HEA!Sweet romance with a little drama!
I'm only giving this 3.5 stars as even though it was a great book, there wasn't much that set it apart from other romance books. It wasn't really unputdownable or anything.
But. its still a really great rugby romance that you must try, if you're in the mood for a light and steamy sports romance for the weekend!
