From New York Times bestseller Mimi Jean Pamfiloff comes a sexy standalone Billionaire Romance.

My ex was a con artist who left my life in shambles. But am I going to let that break me? No.
I’ve got a plan. It’s a long shot, but with some hard work, I’ll pull my life back together.
Only, just as I’m in the thick of it, I find an unusual bottle with a note inside: “You get one wish. Make it count.”

Har har. Someone’s idea of a joke?

Apparently not.

And nothing could prepare me for the screamin’ hot man with piercing blue eyes who shows up at my door. He says the note is his and he wants to give me true happiness. Money is no object. A wish granted from a billionaire.

Uh, is he for real? And why me?

I should slam the door in his sex-god face, because this guy has trouble written all over him. But the more time I spend with the demanding, arrogant man, the deeper I get into a twisted history that pulls at my heart.

Suddenly I do have a wish... Him.

I kept going back and forth on the rating for this one and I've settled on giving this 3.5 stars!

To start off with the good parts, I loved the story and the concept of a modern day genie in this one! I'm not going to give any spoilers and I won't even reveal the genre the book falls under except for assuring you that it's a romance, because I think it's wayy more fun to go in not knowing anything! 😂😉

The book follows Ginnie Angelico, who is a talented glass artist and uses recycled glass for her pieces! She's gone through some tough times as her ex-boyfriend who used up all her savings and left with debts and mortgage! She's come out stronger from the experiences, but she's still putting herself together slowly.

After a series of events she ends up with a glass bottle that has a note inside it instructing her to make a wish(with limitations of course!)
And a handsome stranger named Marus keeps popping around, urging her to make the wish! Is this a hoax? Or is he a modern day wish granting genie?

I loved the idea of the wishes and how the author added the additional layer of mystery about Mr.Wish/Marus' identity! It was fun wondering about why he's doing this and what would happy next!

And it also got me wondering about what I would do if I were offered a wish? 🤔 It would be so difficult for me to choose!

In true Mimi style the book was well-written with a lot of humour and sarcasm! But, the part where it failed to completely draw me in was the romance. I wasn't completely sold on it! I didn't really understand Ginnie's initial attraction to Marus and the drive to uncover all his secrets! I think their relationship could have used more development! A few events add a sudden wrench in their relationship and Marus ends up hurting her. I think I'd have liked it a bit more if we had more chapters showing them working out their relationship.

In the end it was still a good read because of the unique concept and plot! I'd definitely recommend this if you're looking for a good standalone to gobble up within a few hours!

  1. Sounds interesting! I kind of hope it turns out he's an actual genie, but I don't know. Hmmmm.
