Let me just start off by saying that the cover is so pretty! That's what attracted me at first! And a monster romance from Katee Robert? I didn't even need to read the blurb lol.
It was a fun read - short, steamy and sweet! Briar Rose signs a contract with a demon named Azazel in order to escape from her abusive husband. And in return, she needs to serve one of the creatures/monsters who chooses her at the auction for seven years. Sol, a dragon picks her and for his own reasons, he marries her as well. Contrary to her expectations, he doesn't force her to do anything that she wouldn't want to do. The contract also protects her from any harm and gives Sol an opportunity to seduce her ;)
It was pretty cute seeing these two together and the I loved the steamy scenes as well(who wouldn't love a caring dragon with two 🍆s eh?) It wasn't even as dark as some of the other monster romance books that I've read, so if you're looking for something to try out as you dip your toe into this genre, I'd definitely recommend this one! I'm also very excited for the other books in this series as they sound amazing. The next one is a Kraken(gotta love tentacles 🐙😂)! And I want to read Azazel's story as well!
