Seems random but reading all these books with random meet-cutes and
encounters always has me wondering whether everyone else believes in
it too or has it happened to them?
I just read You, Again by Lauren Layne(one of my auto-buy authors in
case you didn't know already) last week, and I want to scream!!!❣️😆
Noone brings NYC to life in their books the way LL does, but OMG guys
this is one of the best ones among her recent releases. Don't get me
wrong, I loved her last few books, but this one has the full LL magic
back in it(I've read her entire backlist🤣). It gave me the same vibes
as the Stiletto books and the Wedding Belles series, and had full
steam as well(which I must admit I'd missed).
In You, Again we meet Mac - a commitment-phobic graphic designer who
rejects a guy on a dating app while at the bar, without realizing that
he's sitting next to her. And Thomas Decker, who watched her do it
btw, ends up being her new boss. And as if that's not enough he's the
brother of her bestfriend's fiance! Which means they keep running into
each other 🤣 But, she's determined that he's not her type - as he's
looking to settle down, while she wants a carefree life. But, as they
keep meeting each other multiple times, she finds herself attracted to
him and wonders whether she should just break her rules for once?
It was such a cute opposites attract romance with a dash of forces
proximity! And I really loved Thomas - this guy was so patient, I'm
amazed(reminded me of Logan from To Love and To Cherish). It takes a
lot to put up with Mac's constant denial! I get where she's coming
from, with her upbringing and experiences, but even she doesn't know
at one point why exactly is she rejecting close relationships?
But, I did love how they helped each other out when they were confused
too. It was so freaking cute!😄 And I might be repeating this, but I
loved the chemistry between them!🔥👌🏻
Anyway, I think this was pretty much perfect and I wouldn't change a
thing! Do give this one a try if you're looking for a fun, steamy
opposites attract romance! You'll definitely enjoy it!❣️✨
