Perfect Match by Eliza McLane
They couldn't be more different, but wild-at-heart (and in bed)
Rose and sweet-but-square Tyler have to make it through a romantic
Valentine's weekend to win the prize at the end - all while
proving they're certainly, definitely, really not the perfect match
the dating app proclaims them to be... right?
Rose
I went to my bestie’s over-the-top Valentine’s Day event alone, and
when the first person I meet is straight-laced Tyler, I know I’m
leaving alone, too. He’s all buttoned-up with nary a tattoo in
sight, and he does math…for fun. In other words, definitely not my
type. But when a dating app proclaims him my Perfect Match and
offers up a pot of prize money if we spend a romantic weekend
together, complete with an all-expenses paid luxury hotel and
couples activities galore, I don’t need love as a motivator–that
money will help save my fledgling, and failing, graphic design
business. Now Tyler is looking at me like I’m the perfect box of
chocolates, talking about indulging in one last fling before he
settles down. Suddenly, I’m thinking Mr. All-Wrong-For-Me might be
the perfect Mr. Right-Now.
Tyler
I went to a Valentine’s Day singles’ event looking for love and left
with Rose, whose vivacious attitude and sunset-hued hair sets her
apart from every woman I’ve ever dated. Even if her curvy body stirs
up a wilder side in me I’ve always kept under wraps, she’s
definitely not what I’m looking for in a long-term partner… or so I
thought. But somewhere between hiking with goats, getting our nails
painted, and Rose’s lessons on new and inventive ways to share our
heart-shaped bed, I’m wondering if she might be just what I never
knew I always needed. But when she’s determined to part when our
wild weekend is done, how can I convince her we might be a perfect
match after all?
Happy Valentine's Day!❣️✨
I'm generally a cynic when it comes to love and find some things commercial
but I like the fact there's a day when we celebrate it in all forms and the
decor is cute all right(I love the offers too!😆). Also, it's a day to
celebrate my favorite genre so how can I not love it!😂
And talking about this, there couldn't be anything cuter than this novella
that I'd read a while back - Perfect Match by Eliza McLane, where the
protagonists spend a Valentine's weekend together after being matched at a
dating event!
It had the perfect opposites-attract romance with Rose - a graphic designer
who doesn't believe in love and ends up attending a singles event organized
by her best friend for a dating app, and Tyler - the sweet nerdy accountant
who's looking for a relationship 😆 When the app claims to have paired them
up as the perfect match, Rose is a little skeptical but she doesn't want to
give up the weekend getaway and the cash prize that they're offering either.
So she and Tyler decide to spend the weekend together while she gives him
some dating lessons(something steamier🤣) too!
I've had some good luck with novellas lately and I love finding ones like
these with the right amount of balance between the plot, character
development and romance/steam! And this is the perfect example of what I
want in an opposites attract romance - they're opposites but they find some
common ground not just because of the attraction between them, but also
because of the things that they appreciate about the other while also
learning about something from each other!😍
Both Rose and Tyler felt so real to me! Rose is straightforward and
confident but she also has a vulnerable side that we and Tyler get to
witness. And Tyler might be a buttoned-up nerd, but he's the sweetest and I
loved watching him unleash his confidence with some help from Rose. He's so
earnest and gentle but I loved watching him get bolder in the steamy scenes
- and kudos to the author for doing that well because I've read a few books
where the switch between a tightlaced persona to a dirty talker wasn't
believable - and this novella handled that so perfectly!
All of their interactions were adorable and steamy! I swear I was swooning
one minute and fanning myself the next!😂 And it's quite steamy with some
*ahem* public activities and I swear I never knew that I'd love Good Boy
just as much as Good Girl(I have a new favorite phrase guys). I also love
the honest communication between them and how they helped each other out in
various aspects.
Okay, I'll stop gushing about this one now but seriously please give this
one a try - it's the perfect treat for Valentine's Day and you couldn't find
a better novella with the perfect mix of romance, steam and character
development!
Thank you to the author for the ARC and I hope we get to read more
novellas/books from you!
P.S. I believe there's an offer today and you can grab this for 99c!❣️✨

I was provided with an ARC in exchange for an honest review
Eliza McLane (she/her) writes steamy romance full of enthusiastic consent,
usually with a heavy helping of dirty talk.
