Unfortunately Yours by Tessa Bailey
Series : A Vine Mess #2
Genre : Contemporary Romance
Publisher : Avon
Publication date : June 6th, 2023
A down-on-her-luck Napa heiress suggests a mutually beneficial
marriage of convenience to a man she can't stand... only to discover
there's a fine line between love and hate.
After losing her job and her fiancé in one fell swoop, Natalie Vos
returned home to lick her wounds. A few months later, she's sufficiently
drowned her sorrows in cabernet and she's ready to get back on her feet.
She just needs her trust fund to finance her new business venture.
Unfortunately, the terms require she marry before she can have the
money. And well, dumped, remember? But Natalie is desperate enough to
propose to a man who makes her want to kill him--and kiss him, in equal
measure.
August Cates may own a vineyard, but he doesn't know jack about making
wine. He's determined to do his late best friend proud, no matter what
it takes. Except his tasting room is empty, his wine is disgusting
(seriously, he once saw someone gag), and his buddy's legacy is circling
the drain. No bank will give him the loan he needs to turn the business
around... and then the gorgeous, feisty heiress knocks on his door.
Natalie has haunted his dreams since the moment they met, but their
sizzling chemistry immediately morphed into simmering insults.
Now, a quickie marriage could help them both. A sham wedding, a few
weeks living under the same roof, and then they can go their separate
ways--assuming they make it out alive. How hard could it be? There's
just one thing they didn't account for: their unfortunate, unbearable,
undeniable attraction.
Some of my favorite tropes are enemies to lovers, fake dating and
marriage of convenience!❣️✨ And my last read Unfortunately Yours by
Tessa Bailey had a mix of all of these and omg it was so much fun! I
enjoyed this more than Secretly Yours and I felt like it had most of
the vibes that I'd loved in her previous books! I was looking
forward to Natalie and August's story after seeing glimpses of them
in SY and it definitely did not disappoint!
Natalie Vos has returned to her hometown after losing her job in NYC
and being dumped by her fiance at the same time. Though her family
owns a famous winery, she's somewhat of a black sheep and she wants
to go back to the city and open up her own hedgefund company. But
she needs her trust fund money for that and the catch is - she needs
to be married to access it.
August is a retired Navy Seal who has started a winery even though
he knows nothing about wine or vineyards. Natalie and August had
locked horns from the moment she insulted his wine, so despite the
intense attraction between them they've always been at odds with
each other. After a series of events they end up in a marriage of
convenience so that she'll get her trust fund and he can get his
loan, but they need to put some amount of effort into making it
believable 😂
I kinda loved this pairing from the start itself! The antagonistic
banter between them was hilarious and they don't deny the fact that
they're attracted to each other but they just like riling up the
other person too much🤣 Having to fake a marriage added a lot of fun
as the tension heats up quickly! I loved how determined Natalie was
despite her insecurities and August is still grieving the loss of
his best friend. But these two fit so well together! August is kind
of a himbo(I love them😆) and is always there for Natalie when she
needs him 😍 I loved everything about their relationship and how
their characters grow both individually and together! And let's not
forget the trademark TB dirty talk!
This one ticked all the right boxes for me and had me laughing and
swooning at the same time!❣️✨

daughter, writing all day and rewarding herself with a cheese plate
and Netflix binges in the evening. If you want sexy, heartfelt,
humorous romance with a guaranteed happy ending, you’ve come to the
