Business or Pleasure by Rachel Lynn Solomon
Chandler Cohen has never felt more like the ghost in
"ghostwriter" until she attends a signing for a book she
wrote—and the author doesn’t even recognize her. The
evening turns more promising when she meets a charming man
at the bar and immediately connects with him. But when all
their sexual tension culminates in a spectacularly awkward
hookup, she decides this is one night better off
forgotten.
Unfortunately, that’s easier said than done. Her next
project is ghostwriting a memoir for Finn Walsh, a C-list
actor best known for playing a lovable nerd on a cult
classic werewolf show who now makes a living appearing at
fan conventions across the country. But Chandler knows him
better from their one-night stand of hilarious mishaps.
Chandler’s determined to keep their partnership as
professional as possible, but when she admits to Finn
their night together wasn’t as mind-blowing as he thought
it was, he’s distraught. He intrigues her enough that they
strike a deal: when they’re not working on his book,
Chandler will school Finn in the art of satisfaction. As
they grow closer both in and out of the bedroom, they must
figure out which is more important, business or
pleasure—or if there's a way for them to have both.
Rachel's books always have such relatable and wonderful
characters so it shouldn't be a surprise that I loved this one
too! I think this one had such a healthy and beautiful
relationship where both parties were willing to communicate and
listen to each other - and that was definitely my favorite part!
Chandler Cohen is a ghostwriter who's been feeling a little lost
and when she attends the signing of a book that she'd worked on,
the influencer/author doesn't even recognize her. And when she
turns to the bar to blow off some steam she meets a sweet and
charming guy and decides to spend the night with him. Though it
starts off well it kinda ends in an unsatisfactory manner for
her😂 Chandler sneaks out hoping to put this one night stand
behind her, but imagine her surprise when she gets a new project
to ghostwrite a memoir for Finn Walsh, an actor who played a
supporting role on a supernatural show and he ends up being the
one from the previous night🤣
I think I've been enjoying many books these days that feature sex
lessons as a part of the plot and it's very refreshing to have one
that has so much open communication! It's hard to meet people who
take criticism constructively so having a love interest like Finn
who is such a good listener and willing to learn made both
Chandler(and me) happy 😆 He's so sweet and earnest! And Chandler
was so relatable but at the same time I wished I was as confident
as her! I think it was very realistic because while she was
comfortable teaching Finn, she was also afraid to go out of her
comfort zone in terms of writing. The mental health rep was also
another favorite of mine! Also I kept thinking about Teen Wolf
while reading this one 🤣
In the end, this was another RLS book that I absolutely loved and
I think many others will too!❣️✨
