Love takes the stage...

Elise deVries is not what she seems. By night, the actress captivates London theatergoers with her chameleon-like ability to slip inside her characters. By day, she uses her mastery of disguise to work undercover for Chegarre & Associates, an elite agency known for its discreet handling of indelicate scandals. But when Elise is tasked with locating the missing Duke of Ashland, she finds herself center stage in a real-life drama.

Noah Ellery left the glamour of the London aristocracy to pursue a simpler life in the country. He's managed to avoid any complications or entanglements—that is, until he lays eyes on Elise and realizes there's more to this beautiful woman than meets the eye. But when Elise reveals her real identity—and her true feelings for him—the runaway duke must confront the past he left behind . . . to keep the woman he loves forever.

B&N
I've got to admit that I've become a huge fan of this author's writing! Her books have such wonderful and talented characters - especially the female protagonists! Elise stole the show in this one! ⁣
A Duke To Remember features Elise deVries - an actress who also works at Chegarre and Associates - where they handle all kinds of cases and scandals. Elise is very talented at disguising and slipping in and out of characters - which helps her get everything done quickly. The latest case involves a search for a missing duke after his sister approaches them for a solution - as their mother has been committed to Bedlam by their cousin. Elise ends up following some unexpected clues and stumbles into Noah who's been hiding in the countryside. Due to his past Noah has no intention of returning to London or claiming his inheritance, but he's enamored by Elise from the moment he meets her. But, he's in for a shock when he discovers that she's been tasked to bring him back to London. And he'll have to confront the past that he's been running away from.⁣
Elise was such an intelligent and talented protagonist! I can't help but fall for confident and competent FMCs okay?😂 The way she shows that she can get things done and is better at doing them 😍😂 I'd even say that she's better at protecting Noah as she has the skills for it. There's a bit of spontaneous attraction between them but they get to know each other over time and I loved how they saw the parts of themselves that they'd hidden away from the rest of the world. Bonus points for no miscommunication! Though Elise makes Noah confront the things that he's been hiding away from, she's very supportive too. And he has her back in the same way. Another character that surprised me was King! I'd love to know more about his story!⁣
Anyway this was an amazing read and I'm very excited to dive into Alex's book next!❣️✨
